Building Southeast Missouri Since 1910
Pride, Expertise and Integrity Are Everything.
Since the founding of Penzel Construction in 1910 by Linus Penzel, four generations of the Penzel family have been building Southeast Missouri's schools, churches, manufacturing facilities and commercial businesses. With construction roots traced back to the 16th century, integrity and family pride have been the driving tenets of the company.
Throughout the years, family members have started at the bottom and earned their way up to managerial positions within the company…learning, first-hand, each stage of the business as they moved up.
There has never been a division of responsibility so far as family members are concerned. If we see something that needs to be done, we either just do it or delegate the task to one of our many capable employees. Our values are very simple: always be honest. The first time you aren't, your credibility is ruined forever. And, after 110 years in business, that's not something we take lightly.
At Penzel Construction, we are always innovating and finding ways to help our clients achieve their goals—through design-build construction delivery systems, highway and bridge infrastructure construction, competent trained employees and state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
We have come a long way in the last century, and we intend to be here doing what we do best for many decades to come.
