Penzel Construction was the design-build contractor for this 13,000-square-foot facility that included a celebration center, classrooms, and a kitchen. The landmark church, located on the corner of High and Washington Streets in Jackson, was not abandoned. Rather than replace the historic 1910 Bedford stone building, the membership opted to accommodate growth in a different way. Announced as “One Church, Two Locations,” their plans were to provide additional services at the new house of worship to complement those offered at the existing church. More family activities and a contemporary service was added to an already extensive list of programs.
