As one would expect of a business that has been in continuous operation since 1910, we have many long-term relationships with businesses and organizations in Southeast Missouri. One longstanding client is the Bank of Missouri. We’ve worked with the bank since 2001.

Today, we’re happy to announce that we’re now constructing a brand new branch for Bank of Missouri in Caruthersville, Missouri. The project is slated for completion in early 2018.

We are proud of the clients who trust us so much so that we’ve sealed deals with a simple handshake. And this new bank branch construction project was no different than the fourteen other design-build projects we've delivered for the Bank of Missouri.

This project has a lot of personal sentimental value for me. I am not just proud that the new Caruthersville facility is our fifteenth design-build project for the Bank of Missouri, but I am proud to be back in Caruthersville again. I grew up in Caruthersville and spent the majority of my childhood there, so I still have some roots in those parts!

Designed by architect Russell Crader, the new 4,400-square-foot project in Caruthersville will provide two teller lines, an ATM, and associated facilities for the new banking location. Its brick finish design replicates a previous project we completed for the Bank of Missouri’s Scott City branch. Our Project Superintendent for Caruthersville is Chris Penzel and the Project Manager is Travis Roth.

Comparison of Construction Delivery Methods | Penzel Construction Company | Jackson, Missouri

“One project challenge was a “low site,” which required excavation of approximately a foot of poor soils and reinforcement with 21,000 yards of clean fill to elevate the structure and facilitate the shedding of water from the site,” noted Project Manager Travis Roth.

These design-build assignments have served the Bank of Missouri well. Our long-time clients have learned what benefits this construction method can provide them. We use this system because it has many advantages over the traditional design-bid-build method. Not only can design-build save money, but it also typically allows the owner to occupy the building sooner. Plus, there’s only one contract to manage with the design-builder.

Penzel Construction is happy to serve the Bank of Missouri as it continues to grow and serve the residents of SEMO. We appreciate the Bank of Missouri for showing us they trust Penzel to perform work that benefits its business. And we invite potential clients to contact us about ways we can help them grow…we look forward to an opportunity to show you!
