Phil Penzel, PE, DBIA

Phil earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1986 and became a Professional Engineer in 1992. In 1987, Phil joined Penzel Construction and has since gained exceptional experience in all phases of construction, becoming President and CEO in 1996. Since then, he has graduated from The Associated General Contractors of America’s Advanced Management Program and Executive Leadership Forum. He has also received certification from the National Association of Church Design Builders and has been certified a Designated Design-Build Professional™ by the DBIA. Phil served for seven terms on the Board of Alderman for The City of Jackson, Missouri, and currently serves on the board of the Southeast Missouri Port Authority as well as the Associated General Contractors Bridge Committee. In addition, he is a Leading Partner of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce. Phil is a registered Civil Engineer.
An avid runner, Phil has completed many half-marathons and full-marathons throughout the U.S., and has raised money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
