Capital Sand Company, Inc. provides aggregates for the construction industry. Their new crushing facility in Millersville, Missouri, includes three crushers, four screens and 25 conveyors. In addition to handling the site work and foundation, Penzel Construction was the design-build contractor for the facility’s dust collection system, installing filters and ports in the enclosed conveyor line. Penzel was required to adhere to rigorous Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and Missouri Air Pollution Control Program requirements for this project. Despite these challenges, this project was completed in just four months.
