Pre-Engineered Metal Building

In 2022, the Central Municipal Pool, built in 1979 as a joint partnership between the public school district and the City, began to show its age. Penzel Construction was chosen to demolish the perimeter of the pool deck and existing wading pool and remove the existing stainless steel pool walls and buttress system. The chemical building, pump building, blower building, and perimeter bubble were also removed as part of the project.

A NUCOR pre-engineered metal structure, measuring 120 feet by 200 feet with a 24-foot eave height, was constructed to enclose the renovated pool. A new, stand-alone 19 by 35-foot pump house, chemical storage, and electrical building was constructed. The final renovated facility included the installation of new decking, a new filter system, a new chemical treatment system, and a new HVAC system.
